Youth Ministries

Youth Ministry is about community and being the body of Christ. The youth of Christ Church play an active and vital role in our parish. The Youth Ministry programs are for teens in the 6th through 12th grades. It's about building relationships with one another and with God. We are a community of faith that encourages youth to safely explore and deepen their relationship with Christ, learn more about being an Episcopalian, and live into their Baptismal Covenant by serving the church and the world around them. I pray you will come and see what God is up to.

Mission Trip: June 11-16, 2017, Nashville

Serving others is an important part of the youth ministries of Christ Church! Collide is a third type of summer experience, a unique week that combines service and mission work with significant opportunities for theological reflection and poignant talks from theologians in order to develop the faith of high school youth. Current 8th graders through graduating 12th graders are welcome to join us for this mission trip!

Currently our trip is full with 20 youth, but we are adding to our waiting list.

Click here to complete the following mission trip form, which has more details about fundraisers, costs, and more. Click here for a full brochure with a detailed schedule and more. A full registration packet will be available in the coming week. Click here for a copy of our February 21st email to youth and the families registered.

Ocean Hour Beach Clean Up

Saturday, April 22nd at 8:45 am, Fort Pickens. Clean up is from 9-10 am. Bring the whole family and let’s take care of God’s creation together! Ocean Hour provides buckets, bags, and gloves. Questions? Email . Watch your bulletin, The Chronicle, social media, and our website for future Ocean Hour dates.

We really could use your help! Each time our youth gather we are required by Safeguarding God's Children (policies by the Diocese) that we have a minimum of two adults. There are so many reasons this is not only a good idea (safety, supervision, liability, etc.) but a requirement. So just like you take turns to volunteer to provide delicious meals, we need your help with this too! Click here to sign up to volunteer. It's going to take everyone's investment to build a sustainable youth ministry, so we're counting on you! Please reach out to James if you have any questions!
