Epic Challenge Book Club
Mark your calendar, as the first Wednesday in November is also November 1st! The EPIC Challenge Book Club will meet to discuss a joyful — and dark — novel, My Brilliant Friend, by Ferrante. This is the first book in a four book series about girls growing up in Naples, Italy in the fifties and sixties, and their continuing and changing friendship through the years. Come be a part of our lively discussion!
November is also the month we submit our 3 recommendations (each) for the coming year. Recommendations will be due Sunday, November 19th; ballots will go out that week and be due back on November 26th. We have an arcane and elaborate voting system, so if you are thinking about joining the group, you’ll want to find out how we choose our books, scientifically and statistically. Email Patricia McGraw for full information.
Epic Book Club meets every 1st Wednesday of the month at 4:30 p.m. in the Parlor.
The Bridge Group meets on the second Monday of each month at 12:30 p.m. in the Parlor.
Centering Prayer Group
Centering Prayer meets Tuesdays at 3:45 p.m. in the Parlor and Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. in the Centering Prayer Room.
The Needlepoint Group meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month in the Christian Education Building.
Ever wonder who sets up for Holy Eucharist?
The Altar Guild is a volunteer group of women and men whose ministry is to care for the altar, vestments, vessels, and altar linens of the parish. Altar Guild members prepare the sanctuary for Holy Eucharist, weddings, funerals and Baptisms and then tidy up afterward.
If you’d like to join our Altar Guild, please email Mary Beth Marcille.
