Hayneville Pilgrimage
The Brotherhood of St. Andrews and Episcopal Church Women took their Annual Pilgrimage to Hayneville, AL.
This year’s pilgrimage commemorated the 52nd anniversary of the martyrdom of the Episcopalian
Seminarian Jonathon Myrick Daniels and 13 others who were killed in 1965 during
the summer of civil rights protests in Alabama.
The keynote speaker was Dr. Bernard LaFayette, a Civil Rights Movement activist,
minister, educator, lecturer and an authority on the strategy of Nonviolent Social Change.
