As part of the observance of a holy Lent this year, Christ Church welcomes you to a time of prayer, reading and meditating on God’s holy Word. During this time of COVID, when it is difficult to gather in person, may this devotional be an opportunity to connect with one another in reflecting upon Scripture. The pages of this devotional are grounded in Scripture, discussion, and prayer, and seek to bring us together as a community by growing as followers of Christ.

Over the next forty days in Lent, you will journey through the Gospels and hear from fellow disciples at Christ Church. Each day will have a prayer, reading from Scripture, a devotion, and a reflection question. As with the season of Lent, this devotion is an invitation to draw near to Christ – to turn again and put our whole trust in the God who loves us and knows us.

Our prayer is that this devotion, and your own reflections that arise, may invite you deeper in your relationship with Christ. May this be a fruitful time of growing, not only as we continue to learn to follow Jesus, but as we share this life together with fellow disciples of Christ as the People who are Christ Church.
