ABOUT US

  • WHO IS CHRIST CHURCH?

A church is not a building, it is a community. For 190 years, a community of people have gathered together under the name Christ Church Parish. Or to put it another way, Christ Church is a group of people doing something old in new and exciting ways. No matter who you are, what you believe, or what you have been through, you are invited to be a part of this community.

In our community, all are welcome. Your life can be a mess (if you feel that you are not perfect, you will fit right in. Neither are we). You can have questions and doubts (we believe in the importance of reason and the intellectual questioning of our faith). You simply have to want to know more about the love of God and be willing to follow Jesus.

  • WHAT IS OUR MISSION?

Christ Church exists to show everyone God loves them unconditionally.

We Experience, Embrace, & Extend God’s unconditional love:

Experience the outstretched arms of God’s unconditional love through our worship, music, and other opportunities.Feel the saving embrace of God and let God’s love abide in you as part of a community in our formation offerings for all.Love in truth and action by extending our hands in love to care for those both in and outside our walls.

  • WHAT DO WE BELIEVE?

Christ Church is a group of people seeking God and figuring out what it means to love the world. We believe that God is real, that God loves us, and that God has called us to work in His name.

As Episcopalians, we are very different people with different opinions and insights, but we share a common faith that God is working in our lives and in the world. We share a common Creed that has been handed down for 2000 years.

The best time to see what we are about as a community is during worship on Sunday mornings at 8:00 am or 10:30 am.We livestream our 10:30 am service on our Facebook page and our YouTube channel.

  • Brotherhood of St Andrew

A worldwide ministry with chapters in Africa, Japan, the Philippines, Great Britain, Canada, Haiti and the United States. Its 4,192 members in 357 U.S. chapters perform myriad ministries, from building and operating a medical mission ship to sponsoring homes for women and children-in-need. Brothers are quick to respond with both manpower and money during national emergencies, such as Hurricane Sandy in 2012 and during the deadly year of 2013, when an explosion devastated the town of West, Texas, a tornado leveled Moore, Oklahoma and tsunami struck northern Japan.

  • Daughters of the King

Daughters of the King are women and girls between the ages of seven and one hundred and seven who desire a closer walk with the Lord. We are Christian women, both lay and ordained, who are strengthened through the discipline of a Rule of Life and supported through the companionship of our sisters. We are all at different stages of our Christian journey – some have just begun and some have been on this path for a long time. But no matter where we are on our sacred journeys, our primary goal is the same – to know Jesus Christ and to make Him known to others.
